My Fave Games… June 5, 2011

Posted by Amity in Blog Fest.

My fave games from sun up to sun down… ๐Ÿ™‚

Let me start with what I enjoyed the most when I was a kid, say elementary days!

Chinese Garter

I love Chinese garter gameโ€ฆI should always have a couple of meters long of garter in my school bag and when the bell for recess would be tapped, my friends and I would hurry to find a space in the wide green lawn of our school. I was petite but my feet got some magic that even when the garter was raised to a higher level, my feet could still hook it and be able to jump on the garter. A pretty sight indeed! And I was quite addicted to it! A game I enjoyed playing on hot summer days, but of course under the canopy of big trees!

Well, this is another game you should play with good friends. If not, they would try to steal the stones you gained playing it! I remember those terms we used to advance to every levelโ€ฆ.like: single, double, double treble, shooting star, around the world, etcโ€ฆWhen rainy season comes, this is mostly played indoorsโ€ฆwhen kids can no longer jump in a garter!

To know more about the game, click it HERE!

This is a game for both young and oldโ€ฆusing a computer and an internet! I guess I need not say more about this, rather I wanna share some photos of my FV when I was at the height of my addiction to it. I even had a ย poem written about this game. You may check my poem in my old-first-love-blog ย HERE! Nice, isn’t it? But of late, I had to stop playing na… ๐Ÿ™‚

Well, just those three games I am sharing, needless to say, I still have more than a dozen, like peek-a-boo, hide and seek, capture the flag, cafรฉ world, island paradise, to name a few!

I’m unfamiliar with Chinese garter, but it looks like a blast. Nice to mee you, Amity.

3. AlexJCavanaugh - June 7, 2011

Another Facebook addict! And I’d never heard of the first game.
Thanks for participating, Amity!

Amity - June 7, 2011

Ha ha ha…That was before Alex…but now no more… ๐Ÿ™‚
Maybe chinese garter is not a universal game, unlike Farmville… ๐Ÿ™‚

4. Alison Miller - June 7, 2011

You had me until Farmville – just kidding. All my facebook friends seem to be addicted! But the other ones sound so neat! Chinese Garter? I wanna try!

Amity - June 7, 2011

Yups, FV? You’re not in Alison if you don’t play it…lols!
Yup, chinese garter is really great…you’d stretch your legs and jump to the max just to reach the highest.. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for the visit! ๐Ÿ™‚

5. Ciara Knight - June 7, 2011

I just taught my son’s how to play jacks. Great choice. I’m a new follower form the blogfest.

Amity - June 7, 2011

Hi Ciara,

They would enjoy that and it is one way of keeping your boys safe indoors… ๐Ÿ™‚ They would also learn techniques and yes, use their right decisions like which to get or where to start every level of the game!

Happy blogfest!

6. Reid Kemper - June 7, 2011

FarmVille apparently cloned Farm Town, but I guess it did a better job at marketing. Lots of people love that game and probably haven’t played Farm Town.

Amity - June 8, 2011

Hi Reid,

Yes, maybe…but I don’t play farmtown…just Farmville, Cafe World and Island Paradise… ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for hopping by Reid!

7. Nicole Zoltack - June 8, 2011

Hadn’t heard of the first two. I play other FB games.

Amity - June 8, 2011

Hi Nicole,

Maybe because you are from that part of the globe…they are not global games… ๐Ÿ™‚
But for so many FB games, everyone knows I guess!

Thanks for the visit! This game fest is really great!

8. Bryce Daniels - June 8, 2011

Chinese garter. An excellent example of why this blogfest has been so much fun for me. Learning abot all these neat games and activities people enjoy.

Shhhhhh..don’t tell anyone, but I’ve been known to play Farmville for a TEEEEEENY bit too long.

Love the title of your blog. Very creative.

Amity - June 8, 2011

Hi Bryce,

So it is not gender sensitive for FV addicts huh! Ha ha….well I can keep secrets, don’t you worry! ๐Ÿ˜›

Try Chinese garter, it will drain some fats in the belly, he he… ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for dropping, enjoy the game fest!

9. baygirl32 - June 8, 2011

kiddo is obsessed with farmville!

Amity - June 8, 2011

Farmville? Almost everyone is, I guess… ๐Ÿ™‚
The culprits why I learned to play farmville? My kiddos… ๐Ÿ™‚
First time they’d say, “Ma, c’mon, this is fun and it is kind of a stress buster especially when you hear the cows moooing and the chickens crowing…” ha ha ha, and it didn’t take a month I was so hooked to it!

But now no more… I check on my farm and that’s all!

Thanks Baygirl…have fun!
